テニスのフレンチオープン始まったなぁ。ローランギャロスってところでやってるらしいけど、いっぺん行ってみたいもんじゃ。さて、やっとのことで仕事場の片付けも一段落し、7月のライブでは何を演奏しようかと今考えてるところです。ライブは今回、土曜日じゃなくてすみません。来年は土曜日にして、遠方で週休二日の方でもこれるようにしたいと思っています。

Roland Garros
French Open Tennis Tournament got started. I want to go see the tournament at Roland Garros some day. Finishing my work room clean finally, I’m thinking of songs I perform at the gig of this coming July. Sorry, it’s not on Saturday this year. I suppose it should be on Saturday next year for fans to come even from distant areas using weekend.

先日府内某公園のトイレにウエストバッグを置き忘れた。トイレから出るときは全く気付かなかったが、しばらくして「あれっ！」と思い出して戻ってみるも、バッグは無い。カード類は入っていなかったけどケータイが入ってるんだー。アレがないと困るー。それに財布がないと家に帰れないー。いや、お金はなんとかなるさ。タクシーで帰って部屋に入ってお金をとってくればいいんだ。いや、でも家の鍵が入っているから家に入れない。それよりケータイがなくなると一番困るぅー！！個人情報が漏れたらどうなるんや？などなど、考えが渦巻いてしょんぼり状態。とにかく公園事務所に行ってみようと思い、タッタカタッタカタッタカ…と走った。事務所に到着して受付カウンターの上を見ると「ああーっ、あったー。」わたしのバッグが置かれてある。親切なご婦人が届けてくれたとのこと。無事バッグが戻りやれやれ。後日、その親切な人にお礼の品を送った。助かりましたありがとう。こういう風にいい人がいる日本はまだいい国です。あまり慌てないようにしなくちゃ。今回はそのせいでポカをしましたから。気をつけなくちゃいかんわ。

Lost and Found
I lost my waist bag behind at a lavatory of certain park in Osaka the other day. I didn’t find that at all when I went out of the lavatory. After a while I noticed that and got back there and found that my waist bag had disappeared there. There was my cell phone inside of the bag though there were not my credit cards nor cash cards. I cannot without the bag! I cannot go home without my wallet. I’ll be able to manage without money. I can go back home by taxi to go for some money at home. No! I cannot go inside of my home because there’s my key inside of my bag. Above all I cannot do without my cell phone especially. What about the leak of the personal information? I felt blue thinking many things. Any way I thought I needed to go to the information bureau at the park, and ran and ran… I got there to find it on the reception counter! My bag was there! I heard that a kind lady had picked it up and had taken it to the bureau. I felt relieved to know that my bag was back. I sent a gift to her as a token of my gratitude later the other day. Thank you very much. I think Japan is still a beautiful country to know some people are good like her. I have to stay calm, not to be confused. I need to be careful.

実は、以前から少年ナイフとゆかりのある海外のアーティストを日本に呼んでジョイントでツアーができないかとプランを練っていたのですが、ついにそれが今回実現！

Eugeneとナイフの関係はスペシャルページに書いてありますが、今回、彼をゲストに選んだのは、昨年末にリリースされた彼のアルバム「MAN ALIVE」があまりにも素晴らしい内容だったから！
2月に行ったナイフの「from U.S.A.TOUR 2004 WINTER」で終演のBGMに「MAN ALIVE」をかけていたので、ライブに来てくれた人の耳にはとまっているはず。

ともあれ、ナイフとしては初めての試みなので少々ドキドキしてますが、素敵な一夜になること間違いなしです！みなさん、よろしく！

TOMATO HEAD　しばた

金田一春彦先生が亡くなったというニュースを見て、わたしが子供の頃に持っていた「疑問」を思い出した。わたしが子供の頃からずっと持っている国語辞典の編集者は「金田一京助」と「金田一春彦」だ。確か京助さんの息子が春彦さんだと聞いたことがある。今でこそ「金田一」が苗字だってことはわかるけど、当時は「金田（かねだ）」が苗字で「一春彦（いちはるひこ）」が名前かな？それとも「かねだいち、はるひこ」かな？とか思っていた。のちに金田一春彦先生がテレビによく出るようになって「きんだいち、はるひこ」というのが判明。それにしても珍しい苗字だよね。

Dr. Haruhiko Kindaichi
Seeing the news that Dr. Haruhiko Kindaichi passed away, that reminded me of a question, which I had had when I was a child. The editors of Japanese dictionaries which I had from my childhood were Dr. “Kyosuke Kindaichi” and Dr. “Haruhiko Kindaichi”. I’d heard that the son of Kyosuke was Haruhiko at that time. Now I know “Kindaichi” is a last name. I wondered that “Kaneda” (the Japanese reading of a Chinese character of “ Kinda”) was the last name and “Ichiharuhiko” was the first name, or that “Kanedaichi Haruhiko”. Later I saw Dr. Haruhiko Kindaichi on TV frequently to get to know the right way to read was “Kindaichi Haruhiko”. That’s an uncommon last name, isn’t it?

うちの中で工事がはいったので、パソコンを別の部屋に移設する事になった為、ここ1週間ほどネットが使えなくて、大変不便な思いをした。このコーナーにも書き込みできなくて、なんだかさびしかったゼ。
その間にBBSがいろいろ盛り上がっていて、面白いッス。
　CDの輸入が規制されるかもって話はわたしも気になってた。わたしもそうだけど、ナイフファンのかたがたには洋楽が好きな人が多いし、輸入できなくなると困る。すごく困るよね。外国でしか出ていないタイトルが聴けなくなるし。なんとかしなくちゃな。昔の悪代官みたいな政治家たちも、素晴らしい音楽を理解する心を持てれば、少しはこの国も良くなるのでは…。
　ユージーンは太ってない様子です。がはは。新作は聴けば聴くほど味わい深いナイスなアルバムですぜ。
　紙ジャケのCDは、90年代にイギリスでリリースしたことあるんだけどなぁ。プラスチックより温かみがあっていいよね。私個人的にはレコード（ビニール盤）出したいな。

PC Moving
Very inconvenient for me not to able to use Internet for last one week to move PC to another room as I had to fix up the floor of my living room where my PC was. I had been missing writing in this corner. In the meantime, that’s good to know this BBS are exciting. I have been worrying that the import of CD might be controlled. Most of fans of Shonen Knife love western music like me. It’s a big problem. If so, we couldn’t listen to titles that were not contracted with Japanese companies. We should do something. If politicians like villains have hearts to understand wonderful music, this country should get much better… Eugene doesn’t get fat, I’ve heard. (laugh) His brand-new album is so nice as much as I listen to. We released our CD with paper material jacket in 90’s in the UK. It’s warmer than that with plastic material jacket. I would like to release a vinyl material record, I hope.

昨日、テレビで女子バレーボールを3分ぐらいみたのっす。バレーボール側としても、番組の視聴率上げるためにはやっぱゲーノー人とかを一緒に出さないといけないのかね。女子バレーのメインのファンは女の人でしょう。だから男の子のアイドルをテレビに出してるでしょう。男子バレーの場合は選手自体がアイドルだから女性ファンがたくさんいるよね。エンターテインメント性も必要だけど、過剰なのはしらけるよな。試合みてるだけで十分楽しめるよねぇ。

Volleyball
I have seen the female volleyball tournament on TV just for three minutes yesterday. The association of volleyball might include TV personalities with volleyball games to raise the TV programs rating. Most of female volleyball fans are female, so many male TV personalities appear on TV. Come to think of it, players of male volleyball are already idols themselves for female fans. It needs entertainment but it’s a wet blanket if it’s too much. We could enjoy the games so much just seeing them, aren’t we?

5月1日、大阪万博公園でフリーマーケット出店。この日現地に8時ごろ到着し、店開き。どう並べるかというのも重要な点。しかし、なんでこんなに商品が多いんだー！自分でいやになるぐらいだ。わたしって買い物好きだからなぁ。それにUFOキャッチャー好きだし。それにオマケも好きだし！？
　前日の4月30日はとにかくすごかった。わたしは秘密の倉庫でほぼ一日、蔵出しをしていた。ほこりをかぶった箱の中から出てくる出てくるいろんなぬいぐるみ、これもUFOキャッチャーの賜物。服、かばん、そして靴。わたしは革靴を履くと大概足が痛くなるので、買ったはいいがやっぱり履けないという靴がたくさんある。そういったものをとにかく値札を付けてダンボールに詰めた。車に積み込み準備O.K.
　さて、フリマ当日。朝、開門と同時にお客さんがどどどどっと走って入場。あっという間に会場はにぎわった。うちの店の目玉はアツコのスネアドラム。 BBSにも書いて頂いたとおり、さっそくゲットしていただきました。その後、こちらもBBSに書いてもらった、目玉ならぬ目玉おやじもゲットしてもらいました。
　お天気が良すぎて、店番しているだけで心臓がバクバクしてきて、こりゃ熱射病に気を付けんとーという状態でした。予防の為に水をいっぱい飲みました。あっという間に5時の閉店。出店に際して色々お世話になった方々に感謝。
　そして、まっすぐ家に帰ってバタンキュー。翌日も疲れて昼寝しちゃいました。

FM802 Funky Market, with DJ Markey
Opened a shop at a flea market in Osaka International Exposition on May 1. That day I arrived there at 8 a.m. and opened our shop. That’s a point how I displayed our things to sell. Why do I have so many things to sell? Because I like shopping, UFO catcher game at game centers and giveaways!? The previous day, on April 30, I picked out my goods to sell out of my secret warehouse all day long. Various stuffed animals out of boxes covered with dust. There was plenty of booty of UFO catcher game, many clothes, bags and shoes. I have lots of pairs of shoes that I bought but I couldn’t put on as my feet feel a pain in most of them made of leather. I put price tags on them and packed them into corrugated cartons. Stowed them in my car. All set! In the morning of the flea market day, many customers rushed into the place as soon as the gate was open. Atsuko’s snare drum was our good buy. It was sold in a minute as a man had written on BBS. The “eye ball dad” was sold also. The weather was so fine and we had to be careful not to get heatstroke. We drank water so much to prevent that. At five o’clock, it’s time to close. Thank people for lots of help. We got straight back home. Even the next day I took a nap of my fatigue.
