某日、サンフランシスコの友人Joe氏（Decibelsのギタリスト）らと会食。久しぶりの再会で、いろいろな話をして和みの時間を過ごした。ところで、おみやげにすごくおいしいチョコレートをもらった。オレゴンにあるMoontruck社のチョコで、最近サンフランシスコにも出店があった、というわけで早速買ってきてくれた。アイスクリームみたいな形をしてて中にクリームが入ってる。外はカリッ、中はふわっ、あ、まるでたこ焼きみたいや。おいしすぎて写真をとる暇もなかった。なので、やむなくパンフレットの写真を撮ったよ。Thank you Joe!こんどわたしがサンフランシスコに行ったら鮭鱒釣りに連れて行ってくれるそうだ。面白そう。

The other day, I had dinner with my friend Joe who is a guitarist of the Decibels from San Francisco. We saw each other after a long time and had a good time. By the way, I’ve got a present from him. It was a box of delicious chocolates. It made by Moontruck in Oregon and recently a new shop in SF was opened. Their shape were like ice cream corn and cream inside. There is no time to take photo because I ate them so soon. I took a photo of brochure. Thank you Joe! He said that when I go to SF next time, he take me to go salmon and trout fishing. It sounds fun.

わたし、2月10日（土）にＤＪデビューするんだにゃー。ＤＪって言ってもおしゃべりするＤＪじゃなくて、お皿を回すＤＪなーのだ。おしゃべりする方は何度かやったことがあるけど、お皿回しは初めて。先日リハーサルということでK先生に教えてもらった。それにしても、なかなか難しいもんじゃのう。ライブするより難しいわぁ！でも、結局、お皿を回す目的も、ライブをする目的も同じ。来てくれたお客さんに楽しんでもらうということなんですわな。ヘタクソですが、楽しくがんばりまーす。お客さんみんな酔っ払ってくれると助かります、なーんちゃって。とにかく、面白い音楽を多数用意してお待ちしてます！

I’ll make a debut as a DJ on Saturday, Feb. 10! It isn’t a radio DJ but a clbu DJ. I’ve never did it. The other day, I rehearsed and I’ve taught by a teacher. It was very difficult for me. It’s more difficult than playing shows. But the purposes are the same. Doing DJ and playing shows are for making people fun. I’m just a baby DJ but I’ll do my best and prepare cool music. I hope everybody will get drunk and listen to my DJ. Anyway, let’s have fun at the club Big Cake.

From Tokyo to Kobe. We arrived to today’s venue Star Club in Sannomiya, Kobe. The show was two-man show with 4 boys band Gagaga SP. THe vocalist Mr. Maeda of the band gave me cakes which produced by his friend. They were so tasty. Thanks!

For opening, Mr. Maeda and I went on stage and show our Kakizome works which is Japanese traditional calligraphy. I wrote the words unity of rock.

Opening act was LUCY & THE LIPSTIX They are gram band. Skinny boys wore shiny costumes like New York Dolls and playd music. It reminds me of Redd Kross’s friend band Celebrity Skin.

Then Shonen Knife. We played Parrot Polynesia after a long long time. I wrote it 20 years ago. I think it is a crazy genius song. We rocke 14 songs set in front of packed audience.

Last act was Gagaga SP. Their performance was tight and lyrics are cute. Their songs reminds me 70’s folk music in Japan. Mr. Maeda wore Shonen Knife T-shirt. Thank you!

I came back home around midnight. I could spent significant 2 days. Thank you for coming to our shows!

On Jan. 14, We took Shinkansen super express, the max speed is 285Km/h from Osaka to Tokyo. We often use a car when we go to Tokyo but for this time, we took train because we have to go to Kobe after Tokyo show. We arrived to Astro Hall in Harajuku, Tokyo.

We had a location for a Germany film at the venue. The staff took our show and interview. They gave us German Margipan Chocolate. The package was a picture of Mozart. Beautiful! Thanks. I’ll inform the details about the film later.

I choosed rare set for the show including Seiuchi (Walrus). Our suppor bassist was Kaori. She is 20 cm taller than Etsuko. Our show went well I enjoyed a lot. I could get energy from audience who I remember the faced.

The main act of the day was 9 boys band called Doberman. They’ve just released their new album. Their stage costumes were mono tone and fashionable.　They are from Osaka and living neighbours of me. We talked in Osaka dialect and I felt like I was in Osaka.

Then I went to lodgings and sleep.

ナイフの楽譜はこれまで2冊発売されて、両方とも売り切れです。ごめんねー。機会があればまた発行してみたいと思ってます。

オーストラリアのライブに関して。
テニスの全豪オープン始まってますねぇ！メルボルンまで、見に行きたいわぁーーー!!!ナイフのオーストラリアツアー、今のところ予定はないけど、すごく行きたいです。誰か呼んでくれないかなぁ。オーストラリア大好きだもん。

Regarding our score book, we’ve ever released 2 score books but both of them are sold out. We’d like to publish a new book some day.

About Australian tour, I really like to go! Australian open tennis tournament 2007 has started. I want to go to Melbourne a lot. By the way, there is no plan to go to Australia but SK really go there and play. I need someone to invite us. ’Cos I like Australia.
