I found today that spelling of the German Heavy Metal band is “Helloween” but “Halloween”.  I didn’t know that!!!

Helloween is coming to Japan next year.

I got Yusuke Nakamura to draw my portrait.
I really like his artwork.

中村さんは「S▲ILS」というバンドもやっていて、音楽を通じて知り合いました。
He forms a band called ”S▲ILS”, and I  known him through a music. 

先日中村さんのトークショーに遊びにいって、そこで図々しくも似顔絵をお願いし、描いていただいたのです。
I went to his talk show last night, and I ask him to draw my portrait.

先週のことになりますが、マイ・フェイバリットアーティストの一つであるTeenage Fanclubの大阪公演を見に行ってきました。

CDでずっと聴いていて、ライブに行くのは初めて。

期待と興奮の中、ライブは夢のように、あっという間の出来事のようでした。
素晴らしいライブだった。

新譜の「Shadows」からはイントロ聴くとテンション上がるSometimes I Don’t Need To Believe Anythingや聴きたかったBaby Lee, The past,When I Still Have Thee。

そして本編ラスト2曲のSparky’s Dream、The Conceptの流れは泣きそうになりました!!

本当にライブに行くことができて幸せでした。

しかし後で知ったことですが、バンクーバーで少年ナイフがライブした同じ場所で何日後かにTeenage Fanclubがやってるんですね。

そう思うとますます興奮！！！

グラスゴーのKing Tut’s Wah Wah Hutもそうだけど。

憧れのアーティストと同じステージでライブが出来ていると思うと幸せです。

I went to  Teenage Fanclub’s concert  in Osaka last week.
Teenage Fanclub is one of my favorite band.
I’ve listened to their CD for a long time, but it’s the 1st time for me to watch their show.

I still feel excited after the concert.

I felt that everything happened so fast, it was like a dream.
Their performance was really superb.
It was an awesome show!!

I like their latest CD ”Shadows”
They palyed 4songs form it, ”Sometimes I Don’t Need To Believe Anything”, ”Baby Lee” , ” The Past”, ”When I Still Have Thee”.

The last 2songs ”Sparky’s Dream” ans ”The Concept” was also nice.
I always wanted to listen these songs at their live concert.

I’m very happy to watch their concert.

Answer: the Buddhist scriptures machine

今夏、台北にて購入。電池式で裏にスピーカーが付いており、スイッチを入れると6種類のお経の歌やら念仏が流れてくる。上の部分にはネックストラップが付いていて携帯に便利。

ナイフの曲、「Buddha’s Face」の曲の冒頭部分にもこの種のマシーンから出てくる念仏を収録しているが、それは以前中国土産としてもらったプラスチックの仏像タイプのもの。

この機械から流れてくるお経の意味はわからないけど、聴いているとなんだか癒されるような…。現地ではお寺にお参りするときに自分でお経を唱える代わりにこの機械を使うということだろうけど、その合理的感覚はすごいな。これはキッチュアートだと思う。

I bought this in Taipei, Taiwan in this summer.  You can listen 6 kinds of the Buddhist sutra from this machine with 2 batteries when you turn on the switch.  This machine has a neck strap for carry.

I used a sutra sound at the first part of SK’s song “Buddha’s Face”.  The sound were from this kind of machine which was a plastic Buddha’s shape.  I got it as a gift.

I don’t know the meaning of the sutra but I feel tranquility.  It seems that this is used when people visit to a temple and chant a sutra automatically.  It’s very rational.  It’s just a kitsch art.

I’ve been to HP Japan women’s open tennis 2010 at Utsubo Tennis Center in Osaka yesterday.

I saw some Japanese players matches.  Kimiko Krumm Date’s match was great.  I was thinking Martina Navrátilová is the most tough player considered the age but Date might be stronger.  She is 40 years old and ranking is 56.  Incredible.  She appears in a commercial of pickles.

Most of all Japanese players are small but they can win.  I’d like to research that point and make it to use for my tennis.  I should do work out very very very hard, right?

昨日、「ヒューレットパッカード女子オープンテニス」の大会を見に大阪は靭テニスセンターへ行ってきました。

日本人選手の試合を見ました。クルム伊達公子の試合は良かったね。ナブラチロワが年齢を重ねても一番強いと思っていたけど、伊達公子の方が強いなぁ。40歳でランキング56位やもんね。すごいわ。「きゅうりのキューちゃん」の宣伝してはります。

ほとんどの日本人選手は小柄だけど勝つことができるんだよね。この辺の秘訣を探って自分のテニスに生かしたい。なーんて、トレーニングあるのみかな。

September 30th

9月の30日でござる。

This is the venue “Cabaret du Mile End Pop” at Montreal on September 30th.  It’s on the 2nd floor.  The first floor was a carpet shop.

この日の会場、キャバレードゥミルエンポップ。二階にあります。一階は絨毯屋さんやった。

October 1st

10月に入って1日（ついたち）でござる。

This is the neighbors of our venue in Toronto.  There are many cool shops and restaurant on this Queens street.

トロントの会場の近所まわり。ここクイーンズストリートにはオサレなお店やレストランが。

Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto.  I’ve ever played here several times.

Cool venue.

ホースシュータバーン。この日の会場。ここでは何度か演奏させてもろてます。すてきな会場です。

October 2nd

10月2日です。

Buffalo Chicken wing.  This is so tasty.  We ate this before the show.

バッファローチキンウイング。これ、おいしいス。名古屋の手羽先ぐらいおいしい。ライブの前に頂きやした。

Giant portion of French Fries.　　フライドポテトも大盛り。

Mohawk Place in Buffalo.  We played here last time, too.

こちら、バッファローの会場モーホークプレイス。ここで前回も演奏した。

October 3rd

10月ももう3日でござる。

GCR studio in Buffalo.  We rehearsed for the recording here.

バッファローのGCRスタジオ。ここでレコーディングのためのリハーサルしたよ。

This is Niagara Falls.  After the rehearsal, Miyoko from Good Charamel Records took us to this beautiful place.  You can see big nature.

これがナイアガラの滝だ。リハーサルの後、グッドカラメルレコーズのみよこさんがこのようなきれいな場所に連れてくれはった。まさしく大自然。

Around the falls are equipped with lights, a fence and buildings.  Yes, this is the world famous sight seeing spot.

こうやって「引き」の写真にすると、滝の周りは整備されていて都会的。京都の嵐山みたいですわ。

滝の近くにはこのような建物。きらびやか。

We had a dinner at “Golden Lotus” Chinese restaurant in Niagara.  So good.  Usually they serve buffet but the day we went had a la carte menu only.  Anyway, it was so tasty.  I’d like to go to eat at buffet menu, too.

ナイアガラの「ゴールデンロータス」という中華料理店で夕食いただきました。おいしい。ここ、いつもは食べ放題やってるそうですが、わたしらが行った日はアラカルトメニューでした。それにしてもおいしい。こんどは食べ放題してみたい。

October 4th

10月の4日です。

At GCR Studio.  Robby produced our recording.  He fitted visits to the studio into his busy schedule of Goo Goo Dolls’ tour.  The recording was so fun.

ＧＣＲスタジオにて。ロビーがプロデュースしてくれました。グーグードールズのツアーの合間を縫ってスタジオに駆けつけてくれました。レコーディング、とても楽しかった！

Ritsuko played the bass.　りつこさんがベースを弾き、

And Emi played the drums.　えみさんがドラムをたたきました。

Thank you everybody!　お客さん、関係者のみなさま、ありがとうさんでした。

ただいま大阪～！！

ってもう帰ってから5日も経っちゃいましたが∑(´Д｀)ﾊｯ!

書いていなかったBuffaloでのレコーディングのことを。

10月2日にツアーファイナルを迎え、3日はBuffaloのスタジオでリハーサルしてました。
　
Our North American tour ended on October 2nd, and we rehearsed for the recording in buffalo on October 3rd.

そしてリハーサル後にあの有名なナイヤガラの滝に連れてってもらいましたっ！！
うわー壮大！！むっちゃ感動！！こんな景色あるんだ。
みよこさん、本当にありがとうございました。言葉では言い尽くせないくらい感謝でいっぱいです。
　
After the rehearsal, Miyoko took us Niagra Falls,  it was so huge.

夜には豪華中華料理！！美味しかった～！

10月4日、いよいよレコーディング当日、アメリカ滞在最終日でもあります。
レザージャケット着て？撮影もありました。

At last, recording day and final day of our stay in US on October 4th.
We also had a photo session.
Our clothes were the leather jackets.

なんとロビーさんがプロデューサー＆レコーディングにも参加してれました♪

The producer was Mr.Robby from Goo Goo Dolls, and He recorded some parts.

 無事に5曲レコーディング終了！！お疲れ様でした(o・ω・o)ゝ

We recorded five songs, we were successful!!

最後のディナーは寿司パーティ♪
すしすしすしバー♪って宅配ですけどね。
美味しかった！！
 
The last dinner in the US was a sushi.
Let’s have a Sushi party!!

そして翌日早朝にBuffaloを出発し、大阪へ帰ってきました。
今週には早々にレコーディング。
時差ボケしてる暇はありませんYo！！

And then we left early in the morning, and we came back to Osaka.
This week, we’ll do recording.
Now, I’m fine.
