\nSeeing the news that Dr. Haruhiko Kindaichi passed away, that reminded me of a question, which I had had when I was a child. The editors of Japanese dictionaries which I had from my childhood were Dr. \u201cKyosuke Kindaichi\u201d and Dr. \u201cHaruhiko Kindaichi\u201d. I\u2019d heard that the son of Kyosuke was Haruhiko at that time. Now I know \u201cKindaichi\u201d is a last name. I wondered that \u201cKaneda\u201d (the Japanese reading of a Chinese character of \u201c Kinda\u201d) was the last name and \u201cIchiharuhiko\u201d was the first name, or that \u201cKanedaichi Haruhiko\u201d.
