We left the hotel at 8am. We gained 1 hour because of time difference. 6 hours and a half drive took us to the venue. Arrived at 1:30pm. We just barely made it in time for lunch catering. Yay!<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a huge help that the venue staff are assisting with loading the equipment in and out this time. After grabbing a bite to eat, I spent the rest of the time in the dressing room updating my blog.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was time for the soundcheck. It was sweltering outside, and since the stage faced west, it was exposed to direct sunlight. I fashioned a small visor out of gaffer tape so I could see the indicator lights on my effects pedals.<\/span><\/p>\n

After that, I went to the catering area to get some dinner. The potato soup was as thick as pasta sauce. It was delicious, but I couldn’t eat very much of it. I plated some and put it in the fridge in the dressing room.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u30b5\u30a6\u30f3\u30c9\u30c1\u30a7\u30c3\u30af\u306e\u6642\u3088\u308a\u82e5\u5e72\u967d\u306f\u50be\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u304c\u5348\u5f8c\uff17\u6642\u3067\u3082\u307e\u3060\u307e\u3060\u660e\u308b\u3044\u3067\u3059\u3002Men at Work\u3055\u307e\u306e\u30b9\u30c6\u30fc\u30b8\u7528\u6247\u98a8\u6a5f\u3092\u8cb8\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3060\u3044\u3066\u304a\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002\u3042\u308a\u304c\u3068\u3046\u3002\u30e9\u30a4\u30d6\u4e2d\u3001\u76f4\u5c04\u65e5\u5149\u3060\u3063\u305f\u3051\u3069\u6848\u5916\u76ee\u306f\u958b\u3051\u3066\u3044\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

The sun has dipped a little lower since the soundcheck, but it\u2019s still quite bright even at 7:00 PM. We\u2019re borrowing a stage fan from Men at Work\u2014thanks, guys! Although I was in direct sunlight during the performance, I was surprisingly able to keep my eyes open.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are absolutely delighted to see a long line forming in front of the merchandise table once again. Many longtime fans of Shonen Knife came out to see us, and a great number of people who saw us for the first time today told us they had a wonderful time. Thank you all for coming.<\/span><\/p>\n
