\nChecked out the hotel at 10am and went to Sydney from New Castle by Paul\u2019s driving. Turnstyle flew from New Castle to Perth. Greg drove the big van to Sydney to return our rental equipment then meet at Sydney airport rent-a-car place with us.<\/p>\n

\nAbout two and a half hours later, we picked up Greg\u2014who had been waiting for 30 minutes in front of a car rental agency at Sydney Airport\u2014and headed off to lunch together. It seems there\u2019s a large Indonesian community near the airport, so we went to an Indonesian restaurant. The dishes that Atsuko and I ordered took quite a while to arrive, so we ended up having to eat in a huge rush. It was our final lunch.<\/p>\n

Paul and Greg headed straight to return their rental car, as they were catching a 4:00 PM flight back to Brisbane. And so, we parted ways here\u2014bidding each other a reluctant farewell with the words, “Let’s meet again.”<\/p>\n

\nAfter arriving at my hotel room, I fell into a deep, unconscious-like sleep for about an hour, then spent some time preparing for our upcoming live shows in New Zealand. At 7:00 PM, I headed to the hotel dining area, where the three of us\u2014the band members\u2014had a small, informal celebration. The wine was delicious. Later, I returned to my room, worked on a blog draft, and then went to bed. I have an early start tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n
