2005/04/01

ポートランドのライブも大盛況だった。何せ1998年以来訪れてなかっただけにみんな待ってたよーっ！と歓迎してくれた。

翌日はシアトルへ。ホテルに入り一休み、後中華風内装の会場でサウンドチェック、そして夕食には海老の天ぷらハニーマヨネーズ和えを頂く。美味。周りに添えられたクルミもおいしかった。

楽屋に戻ると、友人知人がたくさん来てくれていた。NIRVANAのサウンドマンで、ナイフのアルバムのエンジニアもやってくれたCraig、ツアー前半戦一緒に回ったVISQUEENのRachelなど。旧交新交を暖めつついざライブ。
満杯のお客さんはみんなニコニコしててすこぶるいい雰囲気。あまりの熱気にエアコンが結露してライブ中私の右手に水がポタポタ落ちてきていた。

ライブは無事終了、後半戦一緒にツアーしたGore Gore Girsとはここでお別れなので皆で記念撮影。

翌日、Craigと朝ご飯を食べに行き、テニスの話などで盛り上がった。彼もテニスを始めて3年だそうだ。そして我々は一路Vancouverへ。


April 1, 2005

Very successful gig in Portland, too. People in Portland welcomed us very much as we had there for the first time in seven years.

Next day we moved to Seattle, WA. We had sound check at a Chinese interior decorationed venue after getting some rest in a hotel. Had fried shrimp with honey mayonnaise for dinner. Excellent! Accompanied walnuts were also tasty.

We found many friends there when we were back to the back stage. There were Craig, who is one of sound engineer staff of Nirvana and also recording engineer of a Shonen Knife album, and Rachel from VISQUEEN who toured with us in the first half. I met them after a long (or short) interval and enjoy the friendship with them. The venue was filled with good audience who was smiling and had a great atmosphere. The heated atmosphere made condensation from the air conditioner and I felt that on my right hand during the gig.

The gig finished. That was the last live gig with Gore Gore Girls we toured in the second half, and we were photographed together.

The following day, we had breakfast with Craig and talked over a life with tennis or many things. I heard that he had begun playing tennis three years before. Then we were headed to Vancouver.

2005/03/30

サクラメントのホテルを後に11時間かけてポートランドへ。
途中遅めの昼ご飯を「チキンとパイ」の店でとる。私はベジタリアンサンドイッチを注文。中にアボカドペーストが入ってた！ぎゃー、私はなぜか旅先でアボカドを食べると調子悪くなる。なのでそこを避けて食べた。写真はえっちゃんが注文したイチゴパイ。

バンの中で爆睡し、夜9時前ポートランド到着。ホテル近くの日本料理店にてプチ打ち上げ。このツアーのショーも余すところ後4回となったので。

翌日、夕方までフリーなので近くへ買い物に行った。たくさんのお店を見たけど欲しい物は何もなかった。(;-_-+


March 30, 2005

Eleven hour journey to Portland, OR from Sacramento. We had late lunch at “Chicken and pie” restaurant on the way. I ordered a veggie sandwich to find avocado paste there. I get sick every time I have an avocado while traveling though I don’t know why. So I ate that avoiding the paste. This picture is a strawberry pie that Etchan ordered.

Got plenty of sleep in a van on the way and arrived at Portland before 9:00 p.m. Hold a “petit” closing party at a Japanese restaurant near a hotel. As we had only four live gigs remained for this tour.
Next day, I spent free time in shopping till that evening. There was nothing special to buy for me although I did some window-shopping.

2005/03/29

500回記念ライブ！＼(~o~)／
アツコは熱があるのでサウンドチェックなしで会場へ。ここサンノゼの会場は前回も来た所。ステージで500回目のライブだと言ったら大きな喝采が起きた。すこぶるいい雰囲気の中、アンコール時、チョコバーをお客さんに配った。1000回記念ライブにはまた戻って来たいなど言いつつ…。

翌日サクラメントに移動し、ホテル内のメキシカンレストランで夕食。その後サウンドチェックなしで会場へ。アツコの熱もようやく治まりつつある。が私は何だかお腹が痛い。この前もメキシカン食べた後そうなったんだよな。日本にいるときは何ともないのにな。色々薬を飲んで何とか治ってライブは無事終了。ここの会場は小さくてアットホームな感じが難波の「ベアーズ」を彷彿させた。

そして今日、このツアー最後の長距離移動、サクラメントからポートランドへ。

March 29, 2005

It’s the 500th anniversary of our live gig the day before yesterday. We went to the venue without our sound check as Atsuko had still fever. We came here previously at the venue in San Jose the last time. Received an ovation from the audience when I told them about the 500th anniversary. We served chocolate bars in an atmosphere of friendliness when we got an encore saying that we want to come back there at the 1000th anniversary gig.

The next day, we moved to Sacramento and had dinner at a Mexican restaurant of a hotel. Went to the venue without our sound check. Atsuko was getting better though I had a stomachache. I had it last time when I had Mexican foods although I’m ok when I had Mexican in Japan. I took many kinds of medicine and got well to finish the gig. This venue reminded me of the Bears, the venue in Nanba Osaka, because it’s small but a homey atmosphere.

And today was the last long-distance moving of this tour from Sacramento to Portland. This picture shows Sean and Robin (from right), our tour crew, who are from Toronto, Canada.

2005/03/27

L.A.のライブ終了後、4時間睡眠をとり、朝8時半San Franciscoへ出発。
約七時間半で到着。ホテルに入り一休みの後会場へ。今日のホテルはロッケンロールホテルとして有名な宿。何度か泊まった事があって、夏場に来たときは中庭のプールで泳いだこともあるが今回はまだ寒い。でも泳いでる人もいる。さむー。

ライブはまたまた大盛況。大きな会場に400から500人は見にきてくれていた。みなさん、ありがとう。アツコはL.A.辺りから風邪気味だったがー。

そして今日はSan Joseのライブ。サウンドチェックなしなので夜まで休息タイム。熱のあるアツコはホテルに留まり、私とえっちゃんはJapan Townで日本食を食べたり、友達のJoe（Decibels）に車に乗せてもらって街を見せてもらったりした。

昔からのチョコレート工場のギラデリースクエアでみんなでホットチョコレートも飲んだ。そして宿に戻り準備してSan Joseのライブへ向かう。今夜はナイフの500回記念ライブ。アツコはまだ熱がある。なんとか早く良くなって欲しい…。


March27, 2005

After the gig in L.A., slept for four hours and left for San Francisco at 8:30 a.m. Took seven hours and a half to get there in San Francisco. Got some rest at a hotel and went to the venue. The accommodations there are well known as a “rock ‘n’ roll hotel”. We have stayed there several times and swam in the pool of the courtyard in the summertime. It’s too cold to swim now though some people were swimming. Chilly…

The live gig in S.F. was also very successful. There were over 400 or 500 people in the large venue. Thank you everybody. Atsuko have been getting a cold when we were in L.A.

And today we are going to play in San Jose today. We could have a rest thru this evening as we didn’t have a plan to check our sound before the gig. Atsuko, who had fever, stayed at a hotel, and Etchan and I had Japanese foods at Japan Town and Joe (Decibels), who is one of my friends, gave us a ride around the city.

We had hot chocolate at Ghirardeli Square, the chocolate factory. Went back to our hotel, got prepared and left for the venue in San Jose. It’s 500th anniversary live gig for the Shonen Knife today. Atsuko has still fever. I want her to get well as soon as possible.

2005/03/25

Santa Anaの会場はシアタータイプ。半円形の周りがボックス席、真ん中が立ち見席。とても素敵な会場。楽屋もいい。音響システムも良かったので演奏しやすかった。
お客さんのレスポンスもサイコー。前にも来た会場だけど記憶になかった！ここではライブのポスターを作ってくれていた。日本アニメ風。すばらしい。Awesome!ライブ終了後Los Angelesに移動。

次の日、つまり昨日は夕方までフリー。友達と会ったり、休息したり、皆それぞれに行動した。
私は昼過ぎに弦を張り替えた後、ひとりで、最近出来たというファーマーズマーケット横のショッピングモールGROVEへタクシーに乗ってゴー。ものすごく賑わってたけど、別段欲しいものはなかった。(−＿−メ)隣のファーマーズマーケット（写真）でビタミン補充の為、バナナとイチゴを購入。こちらのイチゴは全然甘くないが…。かなりウロウロ見て回った後、タクシーを呼んでホテルに戻った。お買物堪能。
こちらでは流しのタクシーは無いし、鉄道路線も充実してないので車が無くてはかなり不便。楽しいアドベンチャーだった。

夜のライブは売り切れ、友達もたくさん来てくれてよかった。


March 25, 2005

A venue in Santa Ana is a kind of a “theater-type”. It’s a semicircular, and there are box seats around it and standing room in the middle of it. So gorgeous! The dressing room is also great. The acoustics of this venue are very good, too. It’s comfortable for us to play there. The audience was also great! The staff of this venue made our poster for our gig here. It’s in the Japanese cartoon style. Awesome! After the gig, we were headed to Los Angeles.

We were free till yesterday’s evening. Each of us spent our time in our own way, meeting friends, or having a break. I went to a brand new shopping mall, GROVE near the farmers market by taxi. It’s crowded with people but I didn’t find anything special to buy there. I bought bananas and strawberries to supplement vitamins at the farmers market (see the photo). Strawberries here are not so sweet actually. Hung around there for a long time, I got back to a hotel by taxi. I enjoyed shopping very much. It’s inconvenient without a car because there are no cruising taxis nor railways round here. It’s a fun adventure for me.

San Diegoのライブもノリノリだった。アンコールの一番最後にギターケーブルが抜けたけど。(;^_^A

今日は少し早起きしてホテル近くのスーパー、TARGETへ。
ここは衣類が充実している。方向音痴な為、逆に行きかけたりしたが何とか到達。時間があまりなかったので、体育館よりもデカい店内を大急ぎで見て回った。買物無事終了、また道がわからなくなってキョロキョロしつつもホテルに帰着。
その後ブランチを日本食レストランで食べた。私が注文したのはなんとモダン焼き！

そして2時間ぐらいでSanta Anaに到着。今サウンドチェックが終わった所。えっちゃん、あっちゃん、わたし、みんな元気デス。ライブは今日を含めてあと9回。がんばるぞー。

The gig in San Diego was also great though a guitar cable was came off from the amp at the last song.(;^_^A

Got up much earlier today to go to supermarket, TARGET, near a hotel. There is many clothes in the store. I almost lost my way there because I have little sense of direction. Checked out the huge store, in a hurry as I had no time. Could enjoy shopping there. Lost my way again and got back to the hotel finally. And then I had brunch at a Japanese restaurant. Guess what I ordered. It’s “Modern-yaki”, a kind of Japanese pizza with soba noodle!

Arrived in Santa Ana after two hour drive. We have just finished our sound check now. Etchan, Atchan and me all are fine! Nine live gigs left including today. We will do our best.

アルバカーキーの後はアリゾナ州チューソン。約10時間のドライブだ。途中山越えした。大陸ならではの壮大な風景。様々に変わる景色を見ながら、爆睡もしながらようやくTUCSON到着。

ライブ会場の隣の家が楽屋。ここは一昨年も来た会場。ライブの方は、最後の曲の時、お客さんが盛り上がってステージに乱入、エフェクトペダルの電源を足に引っ掛けてギターの音が出なくなった。なので電源復活後、お詫びにもう2曲演奏。またまたすごく盛り上がってライブは無事終了。

そしてまた今日、5時間睡眠の後、サンディエゴへ向かう。


March 23, 2005
Tucson, AZ after Albuquerque, NM. It’s ten hour driving. Crossed mountains on the way. Spectacular views of a continent. Seeing various views (and sometimes sleeping) arrived in Tucson.

A backstage is a house next to the venue. We came here for the first time in two years. One of the audience got into on the stage enthusiastically, stumbled over a wall outlet of the effect pedal there accidentally and a sound of the guitar was cut off. After coming to life again, we played two more songs as in apology for the interruption . The gig came alive again and finished.

After five-hour sleep, we are going to go to San Diego today.

ネイティブアメリカンの笛。テキサスにてゲット！ケースがかわいい。

お知らせ。3月28日、サクラメントでのライブが追加になった。これでこのツアーでは合計29回ライブすることになる。34日間で29回のライブだ。うへーっ！

昨日アルバカーキーのライブ、お客さんのノリすこぶる良。モッシュ、ジャンプ、歓声。四時間睡眠でアリゾナへ迎う。ねむー。

This is a souvenir #2 for a prizewinner of the Bears. It’s a kind of an instrument, flute, of native American. I have got this in Texas! And the case is very cute.

News! A live gig in Sacramento is added to our original schedule. It will be on this coming Monday, March 28.We are supposed to have 29 gigs in this Gokigen tour. 29 times in 34 days!

Yesterday’s gig in Albuquerque was also very good and exciting with great audience. Mosh, jumps and great shouts of joy arose from them. Heading for Arizona after four hour sleep. Drowsy…zzz…

オースチンのライブもすこぶるいい調子で終了。
写真はナイフの前に出たレジロズのメンバー。私、昔かなりレジロズ聴き込んでましたぜ。ああ、英国の香り。メンバーはとても大人でいい感じの人たちだった。

夜は友人宅に泊めてもらった。その人は〈飲茶楼／はみがき〉のジャケットを描いた人。画家の家だけにインテリアがアートしてた。

そして今日、3月ももう18日かー。今はオースチンからオクラホマシティーへ車で向かっている所。9時間ぐらいで行けるかな？

Austin’s live gig was also great. This picture is with members of Rezillos. I had listened to the music of the Rezillos so often. Ah! It’s the smell of UK. They are gentlemen and really nice guys.

We stayed at a friend of mine who lived in Austin. He is an illustrator of the jacket of our CD single CD, “Yamcha ro/ Toothpaste”. The interior of the house was very artistic!

Now it’s March 18. We are heading for Oklahoma city from Austin. It will take around nine hours.

3月15日、ツアー始まって以来初めてのオフ。
ホテル近くのショッピングモールでお買い物。なんとそこで五時間もウロウロしてた。ロックＴシャツなどをゲット。KISS、サンタナ、AC/DCなど。

夕飯はホテル一階のレストランで、ハンバーガー。超特大。この日はリフレッシュデーとなった。

翌日、つまり今日16日、夕方まで何もないと思ってたら、朝からラジオのモーニングショーがあった！昨日元気が余って少し夜更かししなきゃ良かったー。写真はラジオ局にて。

The first day-off since this tour started. Did some shopping at a shopping mall near a hotel. Hung around there for five hours! Bought some rock T-shirts or something. KISS, Santana or AC/DC…

Had king sized hamburger as dinner in a restaurant on the first floor of a hotel. Today is a refreshing day.

Next day I had thought it’s free until the evening. But actually I needed to appear on a morning radio live show program! I should have gone to bed much earlier last night. This picture was taken at the radio station.

2005/03/14

モントリオールの後はと言うと、オタワ、トロント、ハミルトンとライブが続いた。

カナダからはケータイメールが送れないので、まとめてリポートすると、とにかくカナダでもたーくさんのお客さんがナイフを暖かく迎えてくれた、と言うこと。とくにトロントではキャパ550人売り切れ。さらに各地でナイフコール続出。

ところでトロントでは「日本文化センター」にて〈ナイフミーツ日本刀〉と言うイベントが行なわれた。ブロンドの『いあい抜き』のセンセイに従い、我々がいあい抜きをした。何だか不思議な感覚だったけど外国の人に日本文化を教えられたような…。(・・?)

そして今日はもう既に三月十四日。ツアー後半戦、南部へ旅立しているところ。昨日、ハミルトンのライブの後国境越えして、バッファローへ。
朝五時過ぎに宿に到着、仮眠して空港へ。そして一路テキサス州ダラスへ。バッファローの宿が最悪でオーバーブッキングしたりシャトルバスの予約をすっ飛ばしたり。その上一言も謝らない。大手チェーンのくせになー。そんなので何でやっていられるんだろ？


March 14, 2005
After leaving Montreal, our live gigs continued in Ottawa, Toronto and Hamilton.

I’m going to report on them all together because I cannot send e-mails from Canada by using the cell phone. Large audience welcomed us warmly here in Canada. Sold out in Toronto, which have a capacity of 550. “Knife calls” came out each venue one after another.

There in Toronto, an event called “Knife meets a Japanese sword, Katana in Japanese” at the Japan culture center. We were given lessons in the “Iai”, the art of drawing one’s sword by an instructor, who is a blond, followed her and tried. That’s interesting and a kind of strange feeling. We learned Japanese culture by a foreigner…

And today, on March 14, we’re heading for the south. After finishing the live gig in Hamilton, ONT, we crossed the border to Buffalo. Checked in a hotel around five in the morning, we took a nap there and then drove to the airport. Flew to Dallas, TX. A hotel in Buffalo socked, the worst with overbooking and skipping our reservation of the shuttle bus. What was worse, the hotel staff never made an apology ever. In spite of being involved in a big hotel chain. It’s unbelievable that they don’t care about these things.

2005/03/11

三月十日極寒のボストンを後にモントリオールへ。

山越え国境越えをした。車に置いていたペットボトルもカチコチに凍っていた。写真は国境近くニューハンプシャーの旅行案内センター前にて。もう一枚はツアークルーの一人ニックが骨つきチキンを食べている所。

無事モントリオールに到着。ボンジュール！そう、ここはフランス語圏。TV（MUCH MUSIC）のインタビューを受けた後、今日初めての食事をタイ料理店で食べた。
そして、ライブ本番。若い男の子を中心に昔からのナイフファンや女の子のお客さんも結構多い。ライブはこの上なく盛り上がりを見せ、モッシュが起きた。アンコールの声も止む事無く、ナイフコールも巻き起こった！


March 10, 2005
Left very chilly Boston to Montreal.

Went over a mountain and cross the border. Water pet bottles got frozen in the van. The picture was taken in front of a travel information center in New Hampshire close to the border. Another was taken when one of tour crew, Nick, was having chicken.

Arrived in Montreal safely. Bonjour! Yes, French is spoken here. We took the first meal today at a Thai food restaurant after being interviewed with TV, MUCH MUSIC. There were large audience at the venue. The live gig there was so exciting than ever and was a “mosh”. We’re called back to the stage with many encores and Knife calls!

3月8日雪のち曇り。ワシントンDCからフィラデルフィアへ。

ライブ会場近くまで来たところで、我々のトレーラーが道路凍結の為滑って脱輪。足元つるつるの寒いなか、通り掛かりの人も加わってトレーラーを押してもらった。なんとか態勢を立て直し、会場入り。

ライブも無事終了。写真はステージから撮ったものっす。
ライブ中ずっと不法にビデオ撮ってる人が居て困ったー。（｀´）

Cloudy after snow. From D.C. to Philadelphia.

One of tires of our trailer got out of joint after it slipped because the road was frozen near the venue. It was so cold and slippery, and passers-by and we gave our trailer a push. Anyway got ready to drive to the venue.

Finished our gig here. This picture was taken from the stage. The trouble was that a person was recording videotape illegally.

2005/03/09

昨日、一昨日とは一転、春の陽気の中、ワシントンDC到着。

その後一旦宿に荷物を置き、会場入り。PANCAKE MOUNTAIN、つまりホットケーキの山って言う子供向けカルト番組の録画をサウンドチェック時に行なう。
たくさんの子供や人形のようなタレントさんがステージに上がって、我々の演奏に合わせて踊った。ハチャメチャな感じが愉快。付き添い父兄にニコラス・ケイジそっくりの人がいた。｜(-_-)｜

その後会場の楽屋でご飯を出してもらって食べた。チキンバーガーとサラダ。おいしかった。

ライブはまたまた大盛り上がり。ワシントンDCは六年数か月ぶりなので、みんな待ってたよー！って言ってくれてた。

この日はシカゴからずっと一緒にツアーしたVISQUEENとは最後のライブ。ギターヴォーカルのレイチェルはえっちゃんを持ち上げてYou are awesome!と誉め讃えていた。ちなみにベースはMUFFSのロニー。

Got to Washington D.C. in the fine spring weather not like yesterday or the day before yesterday.

Checked our baggage at a hotel and got to the venue. There recorded a kids’ TV program, “Pancake Mountain”, on video while we’re doing the sound check. Many children and TV personalities were dancing to our live performance on the stage. Very funny. There was a father like Nicholas Cage attending a child. ｜(-_-)｜

The venue staff made dinner for us and had it at the back stage. Chicken burger and a salad. So tasty!

The gig there was so enthusiastic again. It was a gig in D.C. for the first time in over six years. Everyone there told us, “We have been waiting impatiently.”

The band, “VISQUEEN”, which had toured with us from Chicago, was the last day in our tour. Rachel (G. and Vo.) from the VISQUEEN gave high praise to our drummer Etchan saying “You’re awesome!” and lifted her up. The bassist was Ronnie from the MUFFS by the way.

2005/03/08

ローチェスターの後はと言うと、もうめちゃ忙しかった！睡眠時間三時間の日々。

三月四日、ローチェスターを朝七時に出発、バンに乗り込み七時間かけてNYへ。Fearless TVのスタジオにて三曲収録。ライブ会場に入りサウンドチェック。夕食食べて宿に一旦入り一休みしてライブ本番が深夜12時から始まった。この日も嬉しい事に会場は満杯、楽しくライブ終了し、宿に帰って寝たのが朝五時。

次の日、朝9時出発、WFMUのラジオ局へ。6曲演奏し、会場に移動してサウンドチェック。夕食食べて宿に戻り一休みしてライブ。なんとショータイムは午前1時から！だって土曜の晩だもんね。ライブはまたまた大盛況、わー！片付けて帰ったら朝4時半。

そんな訳で次の日はオフだったので午後1時まで 寝てた。その後は洗濯2杯。みんなリフレッシュしたよ。

今日はみんな元気にワシントンDCへGo！途中ドライブインでベアーズ当選者お土産のおまけにプレス式記念コインを作ったよ。


March 6, 2005
Very very busy after leaving Rochester. Three hour sleep everyday then.

On March 4, left Rochester at seven in the morning, got into a van and drove for seven hours to NY.
Recorded three songs at Fearless TV studio. Got to the venue and checked the sound. After dinner, got some rest at a hotel and started our live gig from 12:00 midnight. Happy to know the venue was full that day also. After the enjoyable live gig, went to sleep at five in the morning.

Next day left a hotel at nine in the morning to appear on WFMU radio station, and performed six songs. Then moved to the venue and finished sound check. After dinner got back to the hotel and back to the venue again for our gig. The show started 1:00 a.m.! It’s Saturday night! The gig there was a great success again. Got back to the hotel at 4:30 a.m. Today is off. Slept till 1:00 p.m. Did our washing. It refreshed us.

Today we headed to Washington D.C.! Made souvenir coins for the prize winners of the Bears, a venue in Osaka, at a drive-in on the way to the D.C.

2005/03/05

Rochesterでのライブも無事終了。
初めて来た土地で、長年ナイフが来るのを待っていたという人がたくさん居た。お客さんのノリがホントにいい。

11時半頃からライブを始めて、ホテルに帰ってきたのが午前2時。今は3時前。なんと、明日は朝7時に集合なんだ！！！
睡眠時間ないじゃないっすかー、このスケジュール。でも大丈夫。そんなのへっちゃらさ。慣れてるんだからね。へへへ。

朝7時にここRochesterを出発して、NYへ向かいます。で、テレビの収録をスタジオでやって、New Jerseyの会場でライブって寸法です。

では、もう寝なくっちゃ。

The gig here has happily finished. This was the first time gig here and there were many people who had waited for our coming for years. They were great and exciting audience.

Started our gig from around 11:30 p.m. and got back to a hotel at 2:00 a.m. And now it’s before 3:00a.m. Need to meet at 7:00 in the morning tomorrow (today) at the front desk! No time to sleep in this schedule. It’s OK for us though. It’s just as usual.

Leaving here Rochester for NY at seven this morning. There we’re going to record on TV at a studio and then to go to a venue for our live gig. Now it’s time to go to sleep!

ローチェスターのライブ前、会場向かいの中華料理店にて夕食。中華はどこで食べてもおいしいなぁ。楽屋はアスベストだらけの地下室。でも会場は素敵なバーです。

Had dinner at a Chinese restaurant across from the venue before our live performance in Rochester, NY. Chinese food is good regardless of the place where I eat. The venue is a cool bar even though the backstage is the basement with asbestos.

吹雪のクリーブランド到着。一昨年と同じライブ会場。今からサウンドチェック。

もう一枚の写真はライブ会場で出た夕食。ブロッコリーとチキンのリボンパスタ。と思ったが...この写真は容量不足で添付不可どした。

Arrived at Cleveland, OH in blizzard. The same venue as two years before. We’re going to check our sound here. Another picture shows our dinner in the venue. Broccoli and ribbon pasta. No! Couldn’t attach it because of a memory shortage of PC. Sorry…

Moved to Detroit from Chicago. At a drive-in, tried a “crane game” but it was unsuccessful. Drove in snow.
