最近買ったCD

4. Slyer / Christ illusion

全部ハードロック、ヘビーメタル系。好きな順番に並べてみました。ジュダスはテンポ、ギターソロ、ヴォーカル、ポップ性がワタシの趣味に合致するんだなー。メイデンはギターのリフとそれに合わせたテンポ感が好き。ドリームシアターは初めて聴いたけど、ああ、こんなんやったんかー、と思った。ヘビメタの教科書的音楽やな。こういうメロディーはギターという楽器で弾かんでもええんちゃうんってぐらい高度なフレーズにこれまた高度なリズム展開。聴いててスカッとするね。スレイヤーも初めて聴いた。そうか、スラッシュメタルやったんや。わたしにとってはスラッシュメタルはどれ聴いても、大した差異は感じられない。（笑）でも、こういうスラッシュなノリって振り切っているところがいいよね。

Recently, I bought these CDs.

1. Judas Priest / Defenders of the faith
2. Iron Maiden / A matter of life and death
3. Dream Theater / Images and words
4. Slyer / Christ illusion

All of these are Heard Rock and Heavy Metal. I arranged in my favorite order. I like Judas Priest’s tempo, guitar solo, vocal and pop sense. I also like Iron Maiden’s guitar refrain and the matching tempo. I listened Dream Theater fist time. It was a little different from my expectation. It’s like a text book of Heavy Metal music. I think the melody line of the gutars are above the ability of it. It’s consists of high technique phrases and rythm. I feel fine to listen. I’ve never listened Slyer until quite recently. I’ve found it was Slash Metal. I can’t tell the difference of each Slash Metal music, haha. But I like this kind of radical sound.

行ってきました！Buzzcocksのライブ！！！

I went to the show of Buzzcocks on September 22nd!!!

この日、早めに家を出てウインドショッピングでもするかぁ、と思ってたけど何かと用事があってできなかった。前日はナイフのライブだったのでシャングリラには車で行ったけど、この日は徒歩。梅田のヨドバシ横の長ーい地下道を通って行った。地下道の空気はよどんでいて、ライブハウスの中みたいな匂いがした。

I wanted to left home a little earlier and go shopping befor the show but I had some routine business so I couldn’t. I went to the venue, Shangri-La by car for our show on 21st but the day of Buzzcocks show, I went there by walk. I went through a long underground passage beside Yodobashi-Camera, an electrical store, in Umeda. The air in the passage was stagnant and smelled like the air of rock club.

さて、開演少し前にシャングリラ着。お、お客さん案外若いな、なんて思いながら見やすい場所を探して待つこと10分、BGMが止んで機材からのノイズがビーっと鳴っている中、メンバー登場。オープニングSEってないのね。はじめの4、5曲は新作から演奏、そのあとは昔からの曲をハイスピードで怒涛のように立て続けに演奏してくれた。新しいアルバムもすごく元気でよかったので、ワタシは最初の方からココロが踊っていたけど、だいたいのお客さんは昔からの曲が始まった途端、興奮状態になってた。

I arrived Shangri-La just befor the show. The audience were younger than my expectation. Without opening theme, members came on the staga. Then they played 4 or 5 songs from their new album and after that, they played old songs with high-speed. I like their new album because it’s powerful so I enjoyed the new songs but most of all audience seemed enjoyed after they played old songs. Eveybody there was rocking.

ライブ本編はナント45分ぐらい、という超短いステージ。その後アンコールもあって、結局は1時間5分ぐらいの演奏時間だったな。もっと見てたかった。ピート・シェリーはかなり見かけが昔とは違ってた。（笑）ドラマーは若手だったな。華奢な人だったので大丈夫かななんて思ったけど。（笑）メンバーみんな「ああ、イギリス人だなぁ。」という印象で、見ているだけでイギリスに行きたくなった。

Their set time was almost 45 minutes. Very short. Then they played encore. Totally they played almost one hour and 5 minutes. I wanted to see their stage more. Pete Shelley’s appearance was a little changed. I didn’t care though, haha. The drummer was a skinny young man. I felt British from the impression of the members and I became to like to go to Britain.

ライブ中は、曲全部知ってるし、いっしょに歌ったりリズムに合わせてノッてたりしたけど、終わってみたら「あれ？あれはまぼろしだったのか？」って思うほど、わたしにとっては現実味無く感じた。なんでか。きっと、Buzzcocksは自分にとってはすごく遠い存在なんだけど、自分が前日にライブしたのと同じステージで演奏しているというのが信じられんかったからなのでは。

I sang along their song and danced during the show but I thought it was like a dream. I couldn’t believe that actually the Buzzcocks played at the same stage which is the same stage with Shonen Knife played one day before.

とにかくとにかく、ライブはすごーーーく楽しかった。わたしの大好きな音楽が生で聴けてほんとによかった。是非また見たいです。ああ、よかったぁ。

Anyway, I enjoyed very much. I was happy I could listen my favorite music with live sound. I want to see their show again. Ah, so fun.

9月21日、木曜日早めの昼ごはんを食べてシャングリラに出陣。ここでは一年ちょっと前にも一度ライブしている。お客さんスペースも段々になっていて見やすいし、ステージも楽屋もきっちりとしててシャンデリアもきれい。通常通りサウンドチェックして、早めの夕食をとって、その後ナイフグッズ新作の打ち合わせ。このグッズは12月のライブには間に合う予定なので、乞うご期待。

On Thursday September 21st, I ate branch and went to Shangri-La. SK have ever played there a year ago. The floor was layered and easy to see the stage. Stage and dressing room were clean. There were a beautuful chandelier. We finished sound check as usual and ate dinner. Then I had a meeting about Shonen Knife merchant.

ナイフの前に3バンドのステージがあって、みんな白熱のライブを繰り広げていた。ロックンロール色の濃いバンドが集結してたよ。そしてナイフの出番。本編は25分8曲と短いステージだったけど、お客さんがアンコールしてくれたお陰でもう2曲演奏できた。この日はお客さんのノリが過激だった！（笑）渦巻き分子運動！

Three bands played before Shonen Knife and they played evergetic shows. Their music style are rock’n’roll. Then our turn. Set time was 25 minutes. It was very short but audience asked for encore and we could play 2 songs more. The groove of audience on this day was extreme. All of them were very rocked like tornado.

ライブ終了後、物販コーナーでお客さんと話したりしてた。いつも来てくれる人たち、そしてオーストラリアからわざわざ見に来たという人、その他、外国のお客さんも。みなさんありがとう。

After show, I talked with audience. Thank you for coming our show from far away place like Australia.

帰り道にたこ焼きが食べたくなって買いました。大阪人。

I bought Tako Yaki after show. Tako Yaki is a special food of Osaka. I’m an Osaka native.

子供のとき「宇宙かるた」ってのを持ってて、その中に「め—冥王星は地球から一番遠い惑星」みたいなこと書いた札があった。絵札のほうには冥王星の絵が描いてあって「一番遠いってなんだかロマンがあるなぁ」と思ったり、絵札を見て、「なんだかよくわからんけど行って見たいなぁ」なんて思っていた。
そのことを歌にしたのが「ロケットにのって」です。

When I was a child, I had a card game Space Cards. One cards said Like to go to Pluto, the farest planet. I saw the picture of the Pluto and read the words, I liked to go to Pluto.
My song Riding on the rocket came from this cards.

冥王星が惑星から降格するってニュースあったけど、そしたら「ロケットにのって海王星に行きたい。すいきんちかもくどってんかいおうせーい」なんて歌わんとあかんかな？なーんちゃって。

I heard a news that Pluto was took off from the planet group of the galactic system. Do I have to sing Riding on the rocket. I wanna go to Neptune?? No. If Neptune became the farest planet form earth, I still like to go to Pluto.

明日は大阪梅田、シャングリラでライブっす。みんな来てねー。Rock!!!

思い出したんだけど、ギルド祭りは、学校の運動場の約1/4ぐらいのスペースを使用して開催されていた。残りの運動場ではナント軟式テニスのトーナメントが行われていた。試合は5時までみっちりやっていたけど、我々は横で大音量にてサウンドチェックしてたんで、試合かなりやりにくかったのでは？！と思ったけど、選手はお構い無しで試合しておられました。校舎の2階から試合を見てたんだけど、優勝に近くなってくるとさすがに見ごたえあったなぁ。めちゃうまかったな。ところで、硬式テニスですが、AIG Openで有明にフェデラーが来るらしい。ほんまに来たらすごいぞ。ああ、見に行きたいな。

Now I remember that I saw a soft tennis tournament at the school ground next to Guild Festival. On the side of the ground, we did sound check with a loud sound. I thought tennis players must feel bad but they seemed to play with concentration. Final and semi final matches were so excited. There are many good players. By the way, Federer will come to Japan Open tournament. It must be great. I’d like to see the match.

ギルド祭りでライブしてきた。9月16日(土)朝7時半の新幹線に乗り込み、世田谷区池尻の現地に11時過ぎ到着。会場の元中学校（小学校?)は、アートな空間だ。建物の中に水の自販機があったんだけど、輸入食料品店でしか置いていないような外国の水がいろいろ入っていたりした。おっしゃれぇ。学校って勉強するため以外の目的で行くのは楽しいもんだ。

京都にも確かこういう、廃校になった小学校を利用して喫茶店とかおしゃれなお店が入っているところあったよな？大阪では聞いたことないなぁ。大阪人は実質的なとこがあるんで、似合わないのか？

順番にサウンドチェックしていって、いよいよ開場。露天もあり、食べ物系からゲーム系まで、いろいろ出てた。わたしも日本円をギルド紙幣に両替し、ゲームをしたり、かき氷食べたりしたよ。ステージの方は、太鼓あり、日舞あり、手品あり、音楽あり、漫才ありのバラエティー豊かな内容。

さて、いよいよナイフの出番。8曲一気に突っ走った!!!イベントなので、ナイフのステージを初めて見たというお客さんも多かったんじゃないかな。そんな中、いつもナイフを見に来てくれているお客さんの顔を見つけると、ほっこりしたなぁ。でも、会場のお客さん全員がニコニコしてて、ノリノリで見てくださったので大変嬉しかったデス。

この日の出演者のガガガSPとorange pekoeも関西在住と関西出身。東京で関西人に会うとシンパシー感じるもんだね。ガガガのサウンドチェック拝見しました。「綱引きをしてしんどかったら手を離せ」という歌がグーでした。

ライブ終わって片付けて、新幹線でバックホーム。家に着いたら11時過ぎ。長い一日おつかれさん。

We played at Guild Festival. On Saturday, September 16th, taking 7:30a.m. Shinkansen Supre Express and we arrived to the venue in Tokyo around 11:00. The venue was a junior high school and now it is used by art companies. I found a water vender there. Many kinds of rare water were in it. It’s fashonable. I like to go to school not for study.

I’ve ever heard that there is a space like this in Kyoto, too. Using closed school, fancy coffee shop and art shops doing business. People in Osaka tend to practical that’s why there is no such fashionable facilities, uh?

Sound check was over and opened the venue. There were street stalls. I exchanged Japanese Yen into Guild as the rule at the festival and played some games and ate frozen sweets. The show was including Japanese Taiko drums performance, Japanese dance, magic, music and two-

Then it became our show time. We rocked and played 8 songs. I was happy when I found regular SK fans from the stage. Anyway, everybody there smiled and rocked with our music. So fun!

Other bands for the show, Gagaga Sp and Orange Pekoe were from Kansai area, the same with us, and I felt sympathy. I listened Gagaga’s sound check and I liked the song about a tug of war.

After the show, we went back home by super express train. It was 11:00p.m. when I arrived home. What a long day.
