ＮＹブルックリン公演は２Daysで今日は２日目です。今日もSOLD OUTだそうで、うれしい限り！まずは朝にニュージャージーのラジオ局WFMUで演奏の収録をしに行きました。こちらのラジオ局は４，５回お世話になっていると思います。歴史のある、非営利自主運営ラジオ局です。５曲収録しました。
The Brooklyn, NY concert is a two-day series, and today is the second day. It’s sold out again today, which makes me so happy! First, in the morning, I went to record our performance at WFMU, a radio station in New Jersey. I think I’ve been this radio station four or five times. It’s a long-established, non-profit, independently-run radio station. We recorded five songs.
そのあと、会場近くに車を停めて昼食に行きました。りさちゃんが探していた日本食店へ。天ぷら弁当ボックスを頼んだのですが、エビの天ぷらじゃなくてエビフライでした。量が多いので残りを持ち帰り。途中、小さな日本のスーパーがあったので菓子パンを買いました。あとで食べたけど大変おいしかったです。
After that, we parked the car near the venue and went to a Japanese restaurant that Risa had been looking for. We ordered a tempura bento box, but it was deep fried shrimp instead of shrimp tempura. The portion was so large that I took the rest home. On the way back to the venue, we came across a small Japanese supermarket and bought some pastry. I ate it later and it was very delicious.
ちょっとした段取りの都合でみよこさんが一人で往復２時間かけてホテルに行かなきゃいけなくなって申し訳なかったです。
Due to some minor logistics issues, Miyoko had to make the two-hour round trip to the hotel by herself, which I felt soryr about that.
りさちゃんはコーヒーショップで時間つぶし。あつこさんとわたしは徒歩１３分かけてモールまで行きました。なぜならこの辺のコーヒーショップ等、店舗には治安上の問題でトイレが無いから！！！！！日本はどこでも安全できれいなトイレがあって幸せです。今のところは。
Risa killed time at a coffee shop. Atsuko and I walked 13 minutes to the mall. This is because the coffee shops and other stores around here don’t have restrooms due to security concerns!!! I’m happy that Japan has safe and clean restrooms everywhere. For now.
夕方５時になり会場が開いたのでライブの準備を始めました。同じ会場で２日公演なので、搬入が済んでいて楽ちんです。この日は大阪ラモーンズのセット。最初の３０分、ライダースジャケットを着てジーンズをはいてRamonesのカバーを演奏しました。そして５分で着替えて少年ナイフのオリジナルのセットを４０分ほど演奏しました。お客さんも大変喜んでくださった様子でうれしかったです。自分の好きなバンドの曲を演奏するのは楽しいです。
The venue opened at 5pm, so we started preparing for the live show. Since we were performing at the same venue for two days, the set was already loaded in, which made it easier. On this day, we played the Osaka Ramones set. For the first 30 minutes, we played Ramones covers wearing a rider’s jacket and jeans. Then we changed in 5 minutes and played a 40-minute set of original Shonen Knife songs. The audience seemed to enjoy it, which made me happy. I enjoy playing my favorite band songs!

We wore fake-Leather Jackets on stage. I was too busy and couldn’t take pictures.
ホテルに戻り、ささっと飲み食いして就寝。アメリカはだいたいのホテルに電子レンジがあるので大変便利です。
I returned to the hotel, quickly ate and drank, and went to bed. Most hotels in America have microwaves, which is very convenient.
