朝10時にホテルを出て車で3時間余り。道中、フリーウェイではなく、一般道が多かったです。今日のライブは「州の農業まつり」の最終日イベント。到着すると、荷物を楽屋のトレーラーに置いてすぐにケータリングへ。メニューはターキーバーガー。虫が多いのでトレーラーの楽屋へもっていって食べました。

We left the hotel at 10:00 a.m. and drove for a little over three hours. Most of the journey was on local roads rather than the freeway. Today’s performance was the final event of the state agricultural fair. Upon arrival, we dropped off our luggage in the backstage trailer and headed straight for the catering area. The menu featured turkey burgers; since there were a lot of bugs around, I took my food back to the trailer to eat.

Lately, I’ve been putting anti-slip stickers on my picks. They provide a great grip.

楽屋のトレーラーの中はこんな感じ。リビング、ベッド、トイレとシャワーがあります。
This is what the dressing room trailer looks like inside. It has a living area, a bed, a toilet, and a shower.

サウンドチェックまで時間があるので、会場内のフェアーを見に行きました。カラフルな食べ物の屋台並んでいました。
Since there was some time until the soundcheck, I went to check out the fair at the venue. There were colorful stalls selling food.

家畜の品評会の会場には羊がたくさんいました。臭いがすごい。ほんまにすごい。
There were a lot of sheep at the livestock show venue. The smell was intense, seriously intense.

Those inflatable, moving figures used for advertising are interesting, aren’t they?

そしてサウンドチェック。広大な場所です。
Then soundcheck. It was a huge venue in a huge ground.

そのあと、夕食のケータリングへ。チキン等ありましたが、お昼のバーガーでお腹がまだいっぱいなので、デザートのチョコレートケーキだけをいただきました。これ、アイスクリームみたいな盛り付けです。
After that I went to catering again for dinner. They served chicken and other food but I was still full with the turkey burger of lunch, I had this chocolate cake. Served like ice cream.

楽屋へもどって準備。
Went back to the dressing room and prepare for the show.

いざ本番。今日も楽しく燃焼しました。盛り上げてくださったお客さんに感謝します。
Show time! I played with my full power. Thank you for the great reaction of the audience.

ライブ後、グッズコーナーへ行き、サイン会をしました。たくさん来てくださいました。次のバンド、Toas the Wet Sprocketが始まってもまだ全然終わりません。やっとひと段落して楽屋への帰り道、スクリーンに演奏の様子が映っていました。
After the set, we went to the merchandise area and held an autograph session. A lot of people came by. Even after the next band, Toad the Wet Sprocket, had started playing, the line still hadn’t ended. When things finally quieted down and I went back to the dressing room. I saw footage of Toad the Wet Sprocket performance playing on the screen.

片づけて、車に乗り込みました。今夜は3時間半の夜走りをしなくてはなりません。運転する人が一番大変だけど、乗ってるだけでもなかなかつらいです。この日はAnthonyが見事運転を完了。おつかれさまでした。部屋に入っておやすみなさい。
We finished packing up and got into the van. We had a three-and-a-half-hour night drive ahead of us. Driver has the hardest job but simply being a passenger is very tough for me, too. Anthony did a great job handling the driving that night. Thanks for the effort. Then, we headed to our room and went to bed.
