Welcome to Atsuko’s note 

本来なら明日13日にアイダホ州ナンパでライブがあるはずでした。ですが山火事で空気の汚染がひどく屋外ライブなのでキャンセルになってしまいました。凄く残念です。次のライブは14日のワシントン州カーネーションです。まる2日かけて走っても1日約9時間以上のドライブです。それで、直子と私は飛行機でシアトルへ行かせてもらう事になりました。

We were originally scheduled to perform in Nampa, Idaho, tomorrow, the 13th. However, the show—which was to be held outdoors—had to be cancelled due to severe air pollution caused by wildfires. It is a real shame. Our next concert is on the 14th in Carnation, Washington. Driving there would take two full days, with over nine hours of driving each day. So, Naoko and I will be flying to Seattle instead.

前日寝るのは遅かったのですが、早く起きて洗濯しようと決めていたのでゲストランドリールームがオープンする6時に起きて洗濯しました。乾燥機に時間がかかりましたがステージ衣装も洗えてスッキリ。

Although I had gone to bed late the night before, I had decided to get up early to do laundry, so I woke up at 6:00 a.m. when the guest laundry room opened and got it done. The dryer took a while, but it felt great to have my stage outfit washed and ready.

ホテルを10時に出発し、空港に送ってもらいました。りさちゃんとみよこさんはジャムとアンソニーの運転で長旅です。ありがとうね〜安全運転でよろしくお願いします。

We left the hotel at 10:00 and got a ride to the airport. Risa and Miyoko are setting off on a long journey, with Jam and Anthony doing the driving. Thanks so much—please drive safely!

空港でチェックインするも飛行機の出発時間が遅れるとの事、仕方ありません。

セキュリティを通って中に入りました。

We checked in at the airport, only to be told that the flight’s departure would be delayed—but it couldn’t be helped.

We went through security and entered.

初シェイクシャック。シャックバーガーを食べたけど一口食べて美味しいなと思いました！

My first time at Shake Shack. I had the ShackBurger, and after just one bite, I thought, “This is delicious!”

その後は搭乗までの時間は睡魔と戦いながら過ごしてました。あーつらい。

After that, I spent the time until boarding fighting off sleepiness. Ugh, it was rough.

やっと搭乗。約3時間のフライト中は爆睡かと思いきやあんまり寝れずにシアトル到着。

Finally boarded. I thought I’d be able to sleep during the roughly three-hour flight, but I didn’t get much rest before arriving in Seattle.

ホテル近くはレストランが無さそうだし直子のズームインタビューもあるしで空港内で晩ご飯を調達。フィッシュタコスを買ってホテルで食べました。

It didn’t look like there were any restaurants near the hotel, and Naoko had a Zoom interview, so we picked up dinner at the airport. I bought fish tacos and ate them at the hotel.

ホテルのシャトルバスを呼んでホテルへ。

We called the hotel shuttle bus and headed to the hotel.

へとへとの1日でした。バンはまだ走ってるだろうなぁ〜おつかれさまです。

It’s been an exhausting day. I imagine the van is still out there on the road—thanks for all your hard work.
