おはようございます。ソルトレイクシティから約3時間ほど走ってネバダ州に入ってすぐ辺りで泊まったホテルからの景色。広い！

Good morning. Here is the view from the hotel where we stayed—just after crossing into Nevada following a drive of about three hours from Salt Lake City. It’s so vast.

朝8時に出発し、ガソリンスタンドでネバダ州のマグネットを買いました。

We left the hotel at 8 a.m. and I bought a Nevada magnet at the gas station.

3時間半ほど走って目的地が後1時間のところで事故の為ハイウェイが封鎖されて迂回しなくてはいけませんでした。

After driving for about three and a half hours—with only an hour left to reach our destination—the highway was closed due to an accident, forcing us to take a detour.

１時半頃会場に到着しました。

ネバダ州のカジノと言えばラスベガスが有名ですが、こちらのリノは小規模ながらそれなりに楽しめるのでサンフランシスコやサクラメント辺りから車で行く人も多いそうです。

We arrived at the venue around 1:30.

While Las Vegas is the most famous destination for casinos in Nevada, Reno is also a popular spot—especially for those driving from areas like San Francisco or Sacramento—because, despite its smaller scale, it still offers plenty of entertainment.

2階の渡り廊下ならぬ渡りフロアの下にツアー御一行のバスが停車していました。

The tour buses were parked beneath what was not merely a connecting walkway, but a connecting floor, on the second level.

到着後は荷物を置きに楽屋へ。

After arriving at the venue we went to the dressing room.

機材搬入は会場のクルーも手伝ってくれるので私たちはしなくていいので凄く助かります。サウンドチェックまでの時間にお昼ご飯を食べに行きました。ケータリング会場は無く金券のバウチャーをもらってホテル内のレストランでそれぞれ好きなものを注文しました。

The venue crew helps with moving in the equipment, so we don’t have to do it ourselves—which is a huge help. We went out for lunch during the time before the soundcheck. There was no catering area; instead, we received vouchers and ordered whatever we liked from the restaurants within the hotel.

りさちゃんはステーキ、直子さんはハンバーガー、私はタコス。メキシカン、どんだけ好きやねん。

Risa had a steak, Naoko had a hamburger, and I had tacos. Just how much do I love Mexican food?

食後、直子さんはカジノではなく子供も楽しめるサーカスサーカス内のゲーセンで遊んでいくと言うことなので私は楽屋に戻りました。

After the meal, Naoko said she was going to play at the arcade inside Circus Circus—a place children could enjoy, too—rather than the casino, so I headed back to the dressing room.

カジノのフロアからエスカレーターで降りたところが会場です。

The venue is located at the bottom of the escalator leading down from the casino floor.

絨毯がいい感じ。

The carpet looks great.

横に長〜い客席。

The seating area was wide from side to side.

少年ナイフの出番。お客さんも既にいっぱい来られていてありがたいです。

It’s Shonen Knife’s turn to perform. I’m grateful that such a large crowd has already gathered.

今日は会場のあるカジノホテルに宿泊するので移動が無いので気分的にゆっくりします。一旦部屋に荷物を置いてから、晩ご飯を求めてレストランのあるフロアに行くと、ライブを見たお客さんたちに遭遇。良かったよ〜と声をかけて頂きました。お客さんもバンドの転換の時にバーで軽い食事や一杯飲んだりして楽しんではります。

We were staying at the casino hotel where the venue was located, so we didn’t have to travel; I could just take it easy and relax. After dropping off my bags in my room, I headed to the floor with the restaurants in search of dinner. Audience members who watched the show came up to me and said they really enjoyed it. They also seem to be having a good time grabbing a light meal or a drink at the bar while the bands are switching over.
