Wednesday 14th October The Tote Hotel, Melbourne

I could sleep a kind of well last night. I wake up and updated my blog and did some work for band. After eating 2 slices of bread, we left the hotel at 12:30 and drove to the studio of Double J radio in ABC, the Australian public broadcasting station for the appearance of a program.

It took about 20min from the hotel. Paul drove the car.

ABC is just like Japanese NHK.

It’s a truly unique program. I’ll share further details via social media or other channels once they’re made public. In any case, it was really entertaining! These are exhibits in the ABC lobby.

After finishing the recording, we headed back to the hotel briefly, then immediately went to a nearby Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. I had teriyaki chicken with rice. It was delicious!

Then we drove to the venue at 5pm. It took only 6 min.

The first day of a tour is always hectic. After the soundcheck, we had dinner at one of Paul’s favorite Italian restaurants. Since it was almost time for the show to start, we only ate a little and took the rest to go.

This wine is not mine. It’s Paul’s. 😀

The dressing room was on the second floor, which also served as part of the venue. I mistook the sound of the supporting act, Moler, for the sound coming from the second floor, so I headed downstairs just as the show was about to begin but I could have enough time to get everything set up. That was a relief.
The venue was packed. To reach the stage from the dressing room, I had to make my way through a dense crowd of attendees. I am truly grateful to everyone who came out.

Thanks for great catering!

After the show, we packed up the equipment and headed to the merchandise area.
We returned to the hotel, had a late-night snack, took a shower, and went to bed.
