朝９時半に車に乗り込みさあ出発とMaxが車を動かしたら、バリバリと不穏な音が！車の前に取り付けてあるプラスチックの泥除けが縁石に引っかかってつぶれてしもた！ほとんど外れててちょっとだけつながってる部分を弦切りニッパーでカット。いやー、またまた驚くこと発生。車本体には影響がなさそうなので、ともかくボストン近くのケンブリッジまで出発しました。
We got in the car at 9:30 in the morning and were ready to go, but when Max started to move, we heard a nasty crunching sound! The plastic barrier attached to the front of the car was getting covered in mud and it was hitting the curb!
5時間ちょっとかけて会場入り。渋滞もあって遅くなりました。会場に着いたら本日からクルーをやってくれるJamとAnthonyが先に到着してて搬入を手伝ってくれました。彼らは昨日バッファロー行われたMusic is Artのスタッフをしていて、今日飛行機でボストン入りしたのです。Maxとはここでお別れ。Robとワンセットで仕事する予定だったので、ここで帰宅となりました。夜の飛行機でアトランタへお帰りになります。おつかれさまでした！
It took a little over five hours to get to the venue. We were late due to traffic jams. When we arrived, Jam and Anthony, who will be joining our crew from today, had already arrived and helped us load in. They were staff members at Music is Art, which was held in Buffalo yesterday, and flew into Boston today. This was where we said goodbye to Max. He was scheduled to work with Rob, so he headed home. He’ll be flying back to Atlanta in the evening. Thanks for all your hard work!
フェスを２本済ませた後の自主ライブ１日目。ステージ周りとグッズコーナーの段取り等、とにかくあわただしいです。サウンドチェックを済ませて夕食は、メンバー３人で近所のエスニック麺のお店へ行きました。玉子トマトぶっかけうどんみたいなもの。
It was the first day of our independent live show after two festivals. It was hectic with the stage and merchandise corner getting ready because of THE FIRST DAY. After the sound check, the three of us went to a nearby ethnic noodle restaurant for dinner. It was something like egg and tomato bukkake udon.
そのあと少しだけターゲット（スーパーマーケット）へ行き楽屋に戻って出演準備して本番。今日は有難いことにSOLD OUT! うれしいです。ありがとうございます。ローカルバンドが最初に演奏して、今回のツアーのサポートを務めてくれるカナダのバンクーバーから来たThe PackADのお二人のステージが終わりショウタイム。最初の２曲ほどはギターの音がぼわんぼわんしていましたが、そのあとは問題なく、何よりお客さんのノリが最高でした。ありがとう！
After that, we went to Target (supermarket) for a bit, then returned to our dressing room to prepare for the show. Thankfully, the show was SOLD OUT today! We’re so happy. Thank you. A local band performed first, then The Pack AD, who came from Vancouver, Canada and are supporting us on this tour, finished their set and our showtime came. The guitar sounded a bit muffled for the first two songs, but after that it got fine and the audience was really into it. Thank you!
ライブ後は片づけ、グッズコーナーのお手伝い等してホテルに行きバタンキュー。
After show, I went to our merch stall and helped a bit, load out and drove back to the hotel. I slept quickly.
夜食はおそうめん。
I boiled thin noodles, So-men, at night.
