Thursday 15th October VOLTA, Ballarat VIC
Got up in the morning, did PC work for the band, ate the leftover pasta, boiled eggs and offed to the venue.

Driving through traffic jam, disco tunnel and disco road, we arrived at Ballarat after 2 hours drive. Looks like calm beautiful town.

The venue is situated on a slope. It is a classic brick structure.

After load in, we went out to pick up some dinner. Yesterday, things got a bit rushed when we ate at a restaurant after our sound check. Today we decided to get takeout and eat at the venue instead. Paul highly recommended a Latin American restaurant nearby. Risa bought an empanada there. Afterward, the three of us stopped by a Chinese-Japanese restaurant and picked up some bento boxes. I had a white fish tempura bento, which was delicious. The portion of rice was just right for me.

There was no dressing room and ate bento at the audience seat before door open.

Paul was working busy for handling the merch. We wanted to help but he has his own way, we only can autograph on CDs and Vinyls. Anyway, thank you so much for hard working.

Soon after that, the support band Moler’s started their set. They are a three-piece band with an upbeat sound, and they’re really great people.

Then it was our turn. The audience was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made me happy on stage. During our song “Sweet Candy Power”, I usually ask to the audience to shout “Candy!” after I sing “amai, amai, amai”. I call it “Candy Call”and the crowd today was so full of energy and cheer! Thank you to everyone who came out to see us.
I’ll ask Paul to take some live photos for us tomorrow. I couldn’t have a stage photo. On the way back, we dropped off our sound engineer Greg near Melbourne Airport and then the four of us headed back to the hotel. Greg is off to work on a Regurgitator show in Adelaide. We’ll be parting ways just tomorrow. Safe travels, Greg! As for us, we’ve arrived back at the hotel and are heading to bed.
