朝８時ホテル発、時差のせいで１時間時計を戻します。６時間半の移動で午後１時半、会場着。ケータリングの昼食時間ぎりぎりに間に合いました。やったー！

We left the hotel at 8am. We gained 1 hour because of time difference. 6 hours and a half drive took us to the venue. Arrived at 1:30pm. We just barely made it in time for lunch catering. Yay!

今回は会場スタッフに機材の搬入搬出を手伝ってもらえるので大変助かります。ごはん食べた後はずっと楽屋でブログの更新をしていました。

サウンドチェックの時間が来ました。外はうだるような暑さ。しかもステージは西向きで直射日光がさします。エフェクターのインジケーターが見えるようにガムテープでひさしを作りました。

It’s a huge help that the venue staff are assisting with loading the equipment in and out this time. After grabbing a bite to eat, I spent the rest of the time in the dressing room updating my blog.

It was time for the soundcheck. It was sweltering outside, and since the stage faced west, it was exposed to direct sunlight. I fashioned a small visor out of gaffer tape so I could see the indicator lights on my effects pedals.

その後、ケータリングに夕食をもらいに行きました。ポテトスープはパスタソースに匹敵する濃さ。おいしいけど多くは食べられません。お皿に盛って楽屋の冷蔵庫へ。

After that, I went to the catering area to get some dinner. The potato soup was as thick as pasta sauce. It was delicious, but I couldn’t eat very much of it. I plated some and put it in the fridge in the dressing room.

そしてショータイム。

Then show time!

サウンドチェックの時より若干陽は傾きましたが午後７時でもまだまだ明るいです。Men at Workさまのステージ用扇風機を貸していただいております。ありがとう。ライブ中、直射日光だったけど案外目は開けていられました。

The sun has dipped a little lower since the soundcheck, but it’s still quite bright even at 7:00 PM. We’re borrowing a stage fan from Men at Work—thanks, guys! Although I was in direct sunlight during the performance, I was surprisingly able to keep my eyes open.

ライブの後はサイン会をしにグッズコーナーへ行きました。

We went to the merch table after show for autograph session.

グッズコーナーのテーブルの前にはまたまた長蛇の列が出来ていて、嬉しい限りです。昔から少年ナイフをフォローしてくださっている方もたくさん来ていただきました。また、今日初めて見て「楽しかった」と言って下さる方も多数。みなさんのご来場に感謝いたします。

We are absolutely delighted to see a long line forming in front of the merchandise table once again. Many longtime fans of Shonen Knife came out to see us, and a great number of people who saw us for the first time today told us they had a wonderful time. Thank you all for coming.

ライブ後もブログ書いていました。冷たいビールも飲みました。おいしい。ホテルに帰り、シャワーを浴びて就寝。

After show, I still wrote blog. I had chilled beer. Yummy. Went back to the hotel, took a shower and went to bed.
