Thursday, August 13 A Day Off in Seattle WA

みなさんの厚意のおかげで今日は一日まるまるオフ。朝10時半ごろ、あつこさんと私はホテルから徒歩で近隣のショッピングモールへ行きました。川を渡ります。

Thanks to everyone’s kindness, I had the whole day off today. Around 10:30 a.m., Atsuko and I walked from the hotel to a nearby shopping mall. We crossed the river.

モールに到着。フィリピンのファストフード店が入っていました。

Arrived at the mall. There was a Filipino fast-food restaurant in the mall.

フィリピンのスーパーマーケット、シーフードシティー。何でか1匹だけ小さいのが居ました。

Seafood City, a Filipino supermarket. For some reason, there was one small fish mixed in with the others.

2階にROUND ONEがありました。

There was ROUND ONE, arcade game place on the 2nd floor.

かわいいゲーム。

わっ！551の豚まんがあるやん！と思ったら服屋さんでした。残念。

Wow! There is Osaka’s famous pork dumpling restaurant “551”?! No, it was a clothing store. Ah.

お昼ご飯はモール内の丸亀製麺にて。イギリスでも去年同じもの食べたような記憶が。

We had lunch at Marugame-Seimen Udon Noodle restaurant. I remember that I ate the same menu in London last year.

トイレへの通路のタイル細工がかわいいので写真に撮りました。よその女の子もこれを見て「かわいい」と言ってました。

I took a picture of tile art on the wall of in front of toilet because it was so cute. A girl looked this and said that this was cute, too.

アメリカの富士山、マウントレイニアーが見えるポイント。でも、空気が濁っていて見えませんでした。山火事の影響だと思います。

This is the view point for Mount Rainier which looks like Mount Fuji, Japan. But the air was smoky. May be because of wildfire.

ここで、1947年にUFOが目撃されたとか。

It is said that a UFO was sighted here in 1947.

宇宙人に電話できるんだって。

You can make a phone call to alien.

晩御飯用に台湾のパン屋さん「85℃ベーカリー」でパンを買ってホテルに帰りました。その後、午後6時からオーストラリアからのzoomインタビュー2件受けました。その後パンを食べてシャワーを浴びて就寝。

We bought some bread for dinner at the Taiwanese bakery “85°C Bakery” and returned to the hotel. Afterward, starting at 6:00 PM, I participated in two Zoom interviews  from Australia. Then, I ate the bread, took a shower, and went to bed.
