10月27日（火）移動日 Alice Springs から Canberraへ
Tuesday 27th October, Travel Day from Alice Springs to Canberra
あつこさん、ポール、グレッグと私の4人で朝食へ。１軒目がまだ飲み物しかできないということで、２軒目へ移動。バナナクルミブレッドとカプチーノ。おいしかった！多いので、半分持ち帰りました。
Atsuko, Paul, Greg and I went breakfast. The first café didn’t get ready and went to the second one. I had Banana Walnut bread and
cappuccino. It was delicious! The portion was large, so I took half to go.

が注文したのはベジタリアン何とか。豪華な感じ。
Paul ordered vegetarian something. It looked gorgeous.

途中の道で。嵐が数日前に来たそうで、木が根っこからひっくり返っていました。
On the way, a tree uprooted because of the storm a few days ago.

ポールは郵便局へ行くとかであつこさん、グレッグと私はアボリジニの人たちのアートセンターを見学へ。
Paul said that he would go to a post office. Atsuko, Greg and I went to visit an Aboriginal art center.

入り口が閉まっていたけど、そこの前に居た方が中に入れてくださるとのこと。何とその方、昨日の私たちのライブに来られたそうです。たいへんありがたい。中に入ったら絵の制作工房があり、アボリジニのアーティストが絵を描いておられました。絵を買いたかったけど、運んでいたらしわくちゃになっちゃうので諦めました。グッズ売り場でTシャツを買いました。
The door was closed but a person who was at in front of it let us in. The person said that he came to our show last night. Wow, thanks! Once inside the building, there was an art studio and Aboriginal artists were drawing pictures. I wanted to buy a drawing but it was hard to carry for me and I gave up. I bought a T-shirt at the shop inside.

一旦ホテルに戻り荷物をとって１０時半にアリススプリングス空港へ。途中、写真をとりました。
We went back to the hotel once and packed the luggage, left the hotel at 10:30 and offed to Alice Spring airport. We took a photo on the way.

カンタスでシドニーまで４時間。ミートパイが出ました。ミートパイをダウンジャケットの収納袋にこぼす案件発生。食べにくい。でもおいしかったです。
A four-hour flight to Sydney with Qantas. They served a meat pie—which I promptly spilled into the storage bag for my down jacket. It was a bit awkward to eat, but delicious nonetheless.

シドニー空港についてレンタカー屋さんのシャトルに乗り、レンタカーを借りに行きました。荷物を1回余計に積み下ろししなくちゃならないので大変です。
After arriving at Sydney Airport, we took a shuttle to the car rental agency to pick up a rental car. It’s quite a hassle, as it means having to load and unload our luggage an extra time.

車でしばらく走って、シドニーでベトナム料理を食べました。グレッグは別行動。わたしは春巻き４本食べました。おいしい。
After driving for a while, we had some Vietnamese food in Sydney. Greg went his own way. I ate four spring rolls. It was delicious.

そののち、車で３時間走ってキャンベラへ行き、ホテルにチェックインしました。アパートメントスタイルのホテルです。シングルベッド２台を一つにくっつけてベッドメイキングをしてあったので、フロントに言ってシーツをもらって二つに切り離して寝ました。
After that, we drove for three hours to Canberra and checked into our hotel—an apartment-style property. The two single beds had been pushed together and made up as one, so I asked the front desk for some extra sheets, separated the beds, and slept that way.
