朝9時出発、時差があるので時計を１時間戻して午後１時半ごろ会場に到着。
アイスホッケーのアリーナだそうです。
We left the hotel at 9am and arrived around 1:30 adjusting the watch minus one hour by time difference. This venue seems ice hockey arena.

この日は照明機器やPAスピーカー等を積んだトラックの到着が遅れていて、私たちが会場に着いたときはまだ何も設営されていませんでした。本来は昨日の晩に到着予定だったそうです。照明機器まで輸送していたんだなんて、今日知りました。
The truck carrying the lighting equipment, PA speakers, and other gear was running late that day, so nothing had been set up yet when we arrived at the venue. Apparently, it was originally scheduled to arrive the previous night. I only learned today that they were transporting the lighting equipment as well.

ともあれ、昼食をいただきにケータリングへ。ほんのり甘いハワイアンブレッドのサンドイッチ等。
Anyway, I went to catering for lunch. They served sweet Hawaiian bread sandwich and more.

食堂の窓からは、別の小さい方のスケートリンクが見えました。
I saw another skate link which was smaller than the main one from the catering room window.

機材車が到着し、設置が始まりました。アメリカの人は時間が遅れていても慌てず騒がず以外にのんびり作業しているように見えます。ある意味それは、良いことなのかもしれません。ぼちぼち設営が進んでいます。
The equipment truck has arrived, and setup is underway. Even when running behind schedule, the Americans don’t seem to panic or get flustered. They appear to be working in a surprisingly relaxed manner. In a way, that might be a good thing. Looks a bit slow but setup is proceeding steadily.

会場のロビーでこのポスターを見かけました。3日後、アメリカで私たちを担当してくれているレコードレーベルのオーナー、ロビーさんのバンドが、この会場でライブを行うことになっています。
I spotted this poster in the venue’s lobby. In three days, the band led by Robby, the owner of the record label that looks after us in the U.S.—will be performing live at this venue.

楽屋でレコードにサインして、今度は夕食をもらいにケータリングへ。
We autographed on the Vinyl and went to catering for dinner.

開場直前に何とかラインチェックをしました。
We could finally could do line check before the door open.

そして本番！ライブが進むにつれてお客さんのノリが良くなってきて、とても嬉しかったです。
Then show time! I was so happy to see the audience getting more and more into the groove as the show went on.

ライブ終了後、楽屋に居たらMen At WorkのColinさんの奥方にしてバックボーカル、ダンス、パーカッション担当のCeciliaさんが来て「今日のTシャツ見て！少年ナイフだよ！」と言って猫が刀を加えているTシャツを披露してくれました。Ceciliaさんはとてもフレンドリーで明るい人。いつもしゃべってきてくれてありがとうございます。Men At Work以外に自分のバンドCecilia Noël and the Wild Clamsというバンドをされているそうです。
After the show, while I was in the dressing room, Cecilia who is a backing vocalist, dancer, and percussionist for Men At Work, as well as Colin’s wife, came over and said, “Look at my T-shirt today! It’s Shonen Knife!” She then showed off a shirt featuring a cat holding a sword in its mouth. Cecilia is such a friendly and cheerful person; I really appreciate how she always strikes up a conversation with me. I hear that, in addition to her work with Men At Work, she also performs with her own band, Cecilia Noël and the Wild Clams.

それから、今日はVelvet CrushのPaulさんが見に来てくださいました！ありがとう！
And then Paul from Velvet Crush came to see us today. Thank you so much!

ホテルにチェックインして天助マーケットで買ったカップそばを食べて就寝。
Went to the hotel and ate cup Soba noodles from TENSUKE market and went to bed.

おいしすぎ。

So delicious.
