6月9日（月）英国 リバプール The Cavern Club
12時にホテルをチェックアウト。途中、羊や牛の牧場を通ってリバプールへ。時間があるのでDaveいわく英国で2番目に良いというサービスエリアで休憩。チョコレートの玉とかトマトのぬいぐるみが売られていました。
Checked out the hotel at noon. Driving through sheep and cows farm, offed to Liverpool. We had to spend a bit time and took a rest at a driver’s café which Dave said it was the 2nd finest one. Chocolate balls and stuffed Tomato doll was sold there.
ビクトリアケーキを買って車内で食べました。すごくおいしい！
I bought Victoria sponge cake and ate it in the van. It was very good.
ビートルズの聖地、The Cavern Clubに到着。会場内にはビートルズ関連の展示がたくさん。機材セッティングしてグッズコーナー設営。サウンド担当の女性が我々のバスドラムを見て、大きい！とびっくりされていました。キャバーンクラブで演奏するバンドはビートルズ的な直径が小さなバスドラムを使う人が多いのかしら。
Arrived at the Beatles Holy Land, The Cavern Club. Many items related to the Beatles were displayed. Setting up the stage and the merch stall. The sound lady said, “Wow, the kick drum is very big”. Are the bands who play at the Cavern club usually use small kick drums?
会場の周りも観光客でにぎわっていました。夕食は近隣のイタリアンへ。キノコクリームパスタを注文。ジョリーパスタみたいにおいしかったです。会場に戻ってきたら外に入場を待っておられる方々の長蛇の列ができていました。
There were many sightseeing people around the town. We went to an Italian restaurant for dinner. I had mushroom cream pasta. It was delicious like Japanese Italian restaurant Jolly Pasta. When I came back to the venue there was a long queue in front of the venue to enter.
そして本番。月曜にも拘わらず大勢の方に来ていただき感謝申し上げます。元気なリアクションありがとうございました。海の向こうの遠くから来ていただいた方も何人かおられました。わたしが最も影響を受けたバンド、ビートルズの聖地で演奏出来てとても楽しかったです。
Show Time! Thank you for coming despite Monday. I was happy about audience’s cheerful reaction. Some people came to see us from overseas. I was glad to play at the Holy land of my favorite band the Beatles.
