9月20日（土）Music is Art festival バッファロー、アウターハーバー
Saturday, September 10th Music is Art Fest at Outer Harbor, Buffalo NY
朝９時半にホテルを出てバッファローまで車で５時間。バッファロー到着後、スーパーマーケット、Wegmansによって食料調達。そして会場の「アウターハーバー」に到着。エリー湖の東の端にある大きな公園です。土曜日のフリーコンサートなので、会場の周りにはものすごーくたくさんの車が停まっています。入り口までの長い車列に並んでいたら、少年ナイフのアメリカのレーベル、Good Charamel Recordsの総長、Robbyさんが自転車でさっそうと登場！いつもお世話になっております！
Checked out the hotel at 9:30 and drove to Buffalo for 5 hours. After arrived at Buffalo, we dropped at a supermarket Wegmans and got food. Then went to the venue “Outer Harbor”. It is a big park on the east side of Lake Erie. It was a free concert and so many cars parked around there. Our van queued to enter, Robby, the boss of Good Charamel Records came to our van by bicycle. As you know, he is a bassist of Goo Goo Dolls. Thank you always!
無事会場内に入り、楽屋のトレーラー行き出演準備。Wegmansで調達したいなりずしをいただきました。おいしい。いなりずしを食べるときよくのどが詰まりそうになるので注意して食べました。それから、Robbyの15分のアコースティックショーを見せてもらって、その次、自分たちの3曲のアコースティックセットを演奏しました。アコースティックといってもギターとベースはアンプにつないでいましたが。こちらも無事終了し、会場内を少し見学ののち、その次の出番までトレーラーで待機。野外ステージがいくつかと屋内合わせて20もステージがあるそうです。私たちが出る屋外ステージは40分押しになっていました。お昼は暑かったけど夜になるととても寒くなっていました。
We entered the venue safely and went to a trailer dressing room. Then prepared for the show. I ate Inari-Sushi which I bought at Wegmans Supermarket. It was yum. I often nearly choke with Inari-Sushi. I ate it carefully. Then we watched Robby’s 15minutes acoustic show and we played our own “acoustic” 3 songs set at a VIP lounge. It called acoustic but we used guitar and bass amps. It was finished and walked around the venue a bit. Then prepared for the show in a trailer dressing room. I heard that there was 20 stages at the venue. Our outside stage’s program was delayed 40 minutes. It was getting cold, the daytime was very hot, though.
出番が来て45分セットを演奏しました。衣装はノースリーブでとても寒かったけど、たくさんのお客さんが見に来てくださって盛り上がってうれしかったです。明日のボストン、ケンブリッジのライブから新しいクルーになってくれるJamはこのイベントでサウンドウーマンをしており、顔合わせをしました。Jamとともに明日からツアークルーとして参加してくれる彼女の友人Anthonyもこの日お手伝いしてくれました。
ライブの後、Maxの運転で2時間半かけてSyracuseの宿に入りバタンキュー。
Our show time came and played 45 minutes set. Our stage costumes has no sleeves and I felt very cold but many people came to see us and gave us good reaction, I was happy. Our new crew Jam and Anthony were working for this event and we met there each other. After show, we had 2 hours drive to a hotel in Syracuse by Max’s driving. Checked in the hotel and went to bed.
